Poor tractor struggled to lift it off the trailer

Just need to figure out the wiring, looks like 3P+E but there’s a few neutrals floating around in the cabinet, mainly the light I think, there’s a few suspect connections too, as you may be able to tell.

Acquired the other day but now up and running is my new to me dual screen pooter, lots of things that byte and other pooter type things going on in there. Means I can crack on with ease learning Fusion 360.

I acquired some invaluable knowledge this afternoon as I prepared to use my home made gas fired furnace in anger for the first time. Whilst the home made venturi burner roared like a Centurion tank on full throttle maximum load when set in the vice now it's fire tube has been welded into the main furnace body it does not function any where near as well .. think it might be something to do with the amount of air available for combustion once it was welded in place .
It look's like YouTube and members will be called upon in the very near future if I can't get it to melt brass within two hours of firing things up . Its barely able to turn some key steel ( trying to make my own TCT tipped lathe cutting tools ) to dark cherry red after an hour of heating it about 2 inches above the main bit of purple , blue flame .

Hard to go back once you've used more than one screen.
Have a look at 3d mice. Wouldn't be without mine for cad.

Mine worked very well until the inner pipe got a layer of corrosion on the inside (stored in a damp shipping container) it was enough to throw something off for it not to run as well. New pipe welded in and it was back in business. Might be worth checking on yours that there's nothing in there from the welding that could be throwing the air off.

Today I acquired video footage from across the street, of the vehicle that broke the wing mirror on my parked van, and didn't stop. Got it all.
I drove up and down every street in my area but couldn't spot it. If it was someone local, I thought I'd give the driver the option to make amends before I got the police involved, which now I'm going to do tomorrow. A big Thank You goes out to my neighbour, who once before provided me indisputable video evidence of a previous hit and run, by a council inspector no less.

Well done.. I had the same happen but I only caught the side on video...dark Vectra with mis-matching hub caps. Then a week later guess who drives past ... Yup...with a big Volvo blue scrape down the car.

Good ! So did the council guy. We went up to the body shop and he paid up front for the bumper damage; done deal, no emotion on my part, life goes on.

Today, I received a completely unexpected package. Having heard that I've not been in the best of health, a BMW Dealership waaay down South from which I order [forum] discounted parts for repair/service items for the e60 sent me this, with a nice hand-written note from all the Team, wishing me well for the future.

A VERY nice gesture, especially since it's not as if I've ever bought a car from them, or spent £000's over the years on parts & servicing with them. Left me with a warm feeling.

A Dunlop trolley compressor in working order - once I'd changed the hose anyway. It will be getting a bit of a refurb as the ball bearings in the pumping/carry handle have collapsed.

The one with the lid off is identical but says X-Ray rather than Laser, pretty useless but they look quite cool.

ive got one like that (somewhere) it came out of Building 64 at the NPLin Teddington. Building 64 is where they had the G Force machine that featured in Moonraker (I think)

We've been having a clear out in my local Men's Shed - quite a few old spanners donated that are gathering dust and will never sell (might be handy for some junk art though). Amongst these were a few Stilsons. My eyes lit on a Record 24" which I hastily removed. Barely any damage to the jaws, they open and close without any problems and the paintwork is still good but now just a bit dull. Worth £25 in the donations box. Now all I need is a spare space on a beam in the workshop and a decent sized nail.

Today I acquired via eBay a set of centre point drills from china for £ 3.50 ( £ 2.30 as stated on the customs declaration ) & in another package ( 29.00 this time ) for four 16x 200 mm lengths of precision tool steel to make some decent lathe cutting tools as all but one of th current set are struggling to stay over 50 mm long and are ground to shape at both ends . Value declared on the customs form £12.80 but even at the £29 eBay price still a lot cheaper than buying exactly the same product from a UK source . They only took eleven days to arrive too so I'm really pleased as I was expecting them to take up to forty days .

Thanks Jimbo , everything is in good order . Once the jet is in an identical venturi to the same depth held in the vice it's off roaring like a gas cutting torch , so I've concluded it is the back pressure in the furnace reducing the oxygen needed for a good burn. I might end up modifying it to take an old Henry vacuum cleaner inside a screw top barrel intake hose in a flange on the side and put the out going air through a flanged pipe or three via a rotatable circular plate air control box .

But as I'm struggling a bit physically and find trying to hump my home made forge about to work on it is impossible at present , so at 05.00 hrs this morning I ordered a £ 285 three burner gas forge from Lithuania via Bay .. due here in 11 days time .

I'm after 1/4 , 5/16 & 3/8 whit spanners for my antique lathe that is all Whit & BSF happy to make a shed donation if you have all three in a reasonable condition .
