Yer out current two cats were from a cat re homing charity, our previous one was we took in as a very manky looking stray, only to find out it had 'left home' several years earlier, the owners were contacted and did not want him back So we took him on and kept him for five years until he was seriously ill and sadly we had to have him put down. As an ex stray he was super affectionate and an excellent mouser, all that would be left of his kills would be a tail and or the guts but despite been castrated he was still a fighter and cost me a small fortune in vets bills to keep having him patched up. I miss that cat a lot.

Our last cat was much like that, mellowed in his later years though both dogs were scared of him.

Cleared out yet another cupboard and found the remnants of the jewellery course that a young, headstrong, conceited and cocky young female teacher here* ran. Amongst the stuff was a ring mandrel and some bits of silver .

* She had her comeuppance and left under a dark cloud when things caught up with her - what goes around comes around, eh...

Plan on melting it down, may have to make something at home!

Don't make the mistake I did, and melt it in a cast iron ladle used for pouring lead. Many years ago I did this with some scrap silver, and although the ladle was given a wire brush treatment to remove some rust, there were still traces of lead in the porous cast iron which mixed with the silver. When The pendant came out of the mould I couldn't get it to shine.

Just 9 months after building the frame I’ve finally got a top for my welding table.

A 531kg one at that!

I bought more paint stuffs, 5L of clearcoat and a GF3. I can confirm the tips are interchangeable with the R150/R160. The GF3 tip will be enlarged to 1.5mm and used for epoxy primer. I tried spraying clear with the 1.2mm and it was better than my ability

Cut along the flat length and fine sanded cuttle fish bone is a great impression mould material for poured silver .

If your not in a hurry the Chinese Jewelery stuff appears to be OK .

Thanks again @DAPPH one of the wee ceramic dishes looks just the ticket. As much as I don't like buying from China it does seem more and more inevitable these days if you want cheap stuff for one-off projects!

You can buy stainless stuff like that in poundland, wouldnt melt silver in it though.

Quicker option peice of wood, put a nice circular dent in it and char the surface.

You can get the same stiffness, flattness and weight bearing capability to the top if you use this stuff then put a much thinner sheet on top. You won't need a crane to lift it either.

The piece I used on my bench was dead flat but I don't know if they all are.

I was very nervous about Fusion when I trialled it and compared it with lots of other tools. It wasn't as good as a lot of competition and the risk of lock-in and then decide to charge you" scared me too much to use it. I'm glad I went another way now.

Interesting that they haven't included STEP files on the export file types list for the free version. That means you'll really struggle to get the models (in a decent editable CAD format rather than just a printable mesh) into an alternative CAD application. Presumably in the hope that you pay them for the full version at which point you "don't need" the alternative CAD application.

I saw it coming, but I'm still disappointed that Autodesk decided to do it.
