Its not citric acid based, its calcium based according to there spec sheets and many more are moving to calcium based due to environmental constraints.
I was regurgitating what others had said on this forum, other forums and reviews without checking that is was citric acid and various chelates. It doesn't actualy state its full composition anywhere. However it is acidic, according to this safety spec sheet, a 1% solution has a ph of 3.5 to 4% and they recommend between 5% and 20% for the powder.
Anyhow, I use the Deox-c gel on awkward/big parts that I can't get in a bucket, citric acid on stuff that I'm not too worried about the finish and want to save cash on and I'm liking Evaporust for parts where you want to be nice and gentle. Works for me.
