Is that inside your house? I thought the smell of solvents meant most people put it in a shed? I’ve got a PLA 3d printer which is noisy but isn’t too bad, i was put off getting a resin one due to the reports of the stench..

It is, it has a built in carbon filter and tbh smell is better than cutting acrylic on the laser. It will be heading down to the workshop when it warms up and I get the workshop tidy

I got to say I gave it a listen and I would not put it on again but I would not object if someone else wanted to listen to it in the same room as me, that is as long as they don't object to me listening to Maiden or Faith No More or some thing similar.

I'm the same, there's not a lot I actively dislike and I'm pretty tolerant anyway because I make everyone else put up with my music, and usually louder.

A second-hand made-in-England Record 311 to replace the Axminster one I stupidly dropped a week or two ago. The Record one didn't come with the bullnose attachment and the one from the Axminster clone is a different size, but I'll keep my eye out for the bullnose attachment for sale on its own or maybe just make my own.

Needs a bit of TLC, but not bad condition from what I can tell at a quick glance.

Don't put the blade or cap into citric acid they go black and it is a bugger to clean.

The blade angle is not fixed at 25 or 30 deg. But set to suit the user.

Yes; same as the one I had before. When I received it the blade had been mounted upside down (bevel down), but the person I bought it off was selling someone else's (grandfather's I think) tools, so had probably taken it apart for a photograph and put it back together wrong.

Check the PLL IC in the rig; if it has the MC145106 you can furgle it to gain extra channels.
I cut my electronics teeth fannying about with CB, then ham, and ex-MOD/Police radio gear.
A few of us had CB rigs working half-duplex across 120 or 160 channels which used to confuse the 'muppets' no end

I used to drop a 10.245MHz (from memory) crystal and trimmer cap into the 27/81 rigs as a kid and get "10 below" or midnight channels as they were called.
