Phowar... proper job.

Glad to see they’ve gone back to the good handle. The new shape ones are horribleSaw my Snap on Man for the first time in a while, bought a couple of bits I needed, then a couple I didn't. He knows I am a sucker for something a bit different so I ended up with the 100th Anniversary ratchet screwdriver (which is actually very nice) and a new spanner rack that I didn't particularly need but looks great!

I have a very similar one in black but made by CK, either a very close copy or I can guess who made the Snap On one. Must have had it twenty years, the ratchet still works well my only complaint is the screw on end cap which screws itself off from time to time.Glad to see they’ve gone back to the good handle. The new shape ones are horrible
Mine (cap) went AWOL so I replaced it with a Werra ratchet driver, the cap turned up several years later when I cleared out under the bench, it is now back in use.I have a black one, pre first toolbox theft which is one of the first tools I bought from the snap on man. It pre dates ratchet! Same as above but solid. That cap falls off on mine too. I glued it on in the end
Is that the one with the red thing that holds the bits? I have 2. One is my daily screwdriver and I love it. The second i modified - the shaft pushes out of the handle and you can press in a 1/4 extension. Makes a 1/4 drive ratchet handle.I've got the Facom version, the end clips on rather than having a screw thread and is a fingernail breaker at first until it wears in.
^^^ what’s that m12 driver like? Been eyeing up the m18 one. I have to re educate myself that 12v isn’t crap
I have an M18 Fuel driver, and it's one of my most-often-used tools. It has driven thousands of screws, and it's been used on a LOT of projects for several years now. Still works like new, and the batteries are holding up great. No complaints. Can't speak for the m12 but have the m18 fuel (not the surge one) and it is brilliant. Built a large wooden structure in the garden and it drove 150mm m10 lags with ease. Snapped a 1/2" adaptor the other week

Been using mine yesterday. Putting on socket fascias. I like the gear screwdriver. The button can be annoying sometimes because it has to mesh correctly to disengage it, it’s also big in your hands. If you’re not desperate next time I’m up I’ll bring it if you want.I have a couple of these and a couple of PB Swiss ratchet drivers, the other Snap On are of the earlier handle too:
THey are both nice, the PB Swiss are, as you would expect, of super quality but the Snap on one can be faster. I am really interested in the WERA ones @KimB has bought and I am wondering how they are working out. They are just a bit too expensive to buy to "try out".

Kurt and I have been talking about coming up soon. Glad to hear you're now open. I'll speak to him today about times. Please do and don't be taking your time! We were very busy yesterday and the new target system has gone down very well, everyone loves it.
That's where my DRO kit went!

Allowed my Lancia when I first got it 17 yrs ago to pass with one front brake and the diagonally opposite rear one seized . . .Those testers are good for old land rovers and other things that can’t go on the rollers.
