That's a yard broom.

I wonder if that’s a blacksmiths choppy thing? Hold it on the steel and hit it. Can’t remember the name now........ A selection of old hammers and an axe head (looks a little unusual so maybe not an axe but still something choppy) for the princely sum of a tenner (FB marketplace).

Is it called a fuller? The short handle sledge hammer makes me think they're blacksmith tools.I wonder if that’s a blacksmiths choppy thing? Hold it on the steel and hit it. Can’t remember the name now
Yes I think it is.Is it called a fuller? The short handle sledge hammer makes me think they're blacksmith tools.
This sort of thing is a lot more fun when you have put a seat on wheels behind it.This:

Motor Culture. Came from the same place as my tractor, for free (sort of, I fixed his ride on mower the other day) This is big, stands three feet tall and has a 2T engine of about 15hp. Harrow included with the plough. Unused for over 20 yrs, but all there. Other neighbour cheerilly told me about the guy in the village who selected reverse by mistake on a similar one and it chewed him up...
Now I need a straw hat and dog to look the part.
Down it Portugal, few of my neighbours had cars or tractors, so just hooked a trailer behind the rotorvator and set off with the produce to market. Not too swift, but reliable. This sort of thing is a lot more fun when you have put a seat on wheels behind it.
Could do with one of those on my sister allotmentThis:

I think your picture is correct. I’ve seen wooden handle ones also. Alec Steele uses them.Does a Fuller not normally have a solid body with a striking end and the handle goes around the outer?
Maybe I am thinking of a different thing?
Especially if the co pilot is Felicity Kendal. This sort of thing is a lot more fun when you have put a seat on wheels behind it.
Maybe if it was 40 years ago.Especially if the co pilot is Felicity Kendal.
