Never understood the point of those kinetic customs hammers got to be honest, apart from to go on a mantlepiece. The guy doesn’t even know the right terminology for the hammers he sells. Another ‘YouTube’ inspired “blacksmith”.

I think, more power to him for actually managing to sell them to folk... if someone wants to pay that much for hammers etc, then fair play.

They do look really nice though, I'd not say no!

My contribution. New toy arrived today, finally the nitrogen generator. Have been waiting for over 3 months for it. It is now in it's final resting place, with the buffer tank (in blue which arrived 2 days earlier) also in it's final resting place.

Just need the connecting fittings, hose and filters to connect and we can make nitrogen (99.99%) form the plasma cutter

Worked on some of those a while ago , they where portable diesel engine powered units the US navy had to create nitrogen. I believe they used it for the counter missile systems that where strips of reactive material kept in inert gas (nitrogen) canisters and then they opened them and let them react with oxygen to burn up and confuse heat seeking missiles IIRC

Its good to support a Made in England company, especially since people on the forum were complaining that nobody manufactures things here anymore. It's no wonder if people wont support the companies. If I had to sit down and make that hammer from scratch I'd want similar money for it. I'm a confirmed whitehouse collector but this is very nice.

Today fabricated my welding table because those wooden tables I used before easily caught on fire and are out of specs.
Unfortunately it is made from 6mm S355 bananas so need to straighten it.
Some Glass also arrived totally unexpected from supplier.
2 more jobs on task.

So I really need to weld.
Getting serious.

Was a good day at the scrapyard. Spotted these swivel plates which will look fantastic once I tidy them up. Then I saw a speed brace which is hex-drive Britool, score! I’ve got quite a bit of this old gear now, I didn’t intend to collect it but I’ve picked up enough bits here and there to make a good set.

I think your nitrogen is actually hydrogen. As was mentioned previously nitrogen is a inert gas and makes up about 78% of the atmosphere. What it cost here, well lets say if you spent that coin on a car, it would be in the vicinity of a top of the range Mazda3 I think that translates to about @20k in you money

First things i look at are washing machines kettles and immersion heaters, basically anything with an element.

I swapped a vice for this box, it was full of old Britool sockets, I’ve made a good BSW and AF set out of them, the rest can go off as is. The tin I want to keep - I have one already and they’re really great. Stack easily, huge handle which doesn’t dig into your fingers.

VGC SKF Puller

I had to modify a cheap chrome plated Chinese one the other day to fit in a gap so I thought I better replace it with a proper puller that will take some abuse if needed.

Very hard to find skf stuff used but it’s so well made.

Another vote for appliances, fridge/freezers, electric showers, just because you cant see appliances leaking water doesnt mean it isnt
You really need double pole isolation on everything so you can isolate them one at a time, Id be amazed if you can find the fault with a clamp meter though
