Me cousin's got a garage/test center in hereford , most of his gear came through saracen and he knows the owner fairly well . They've got a few different brands now and some cheapies too. Got some extra discount on the metabo bench saw I bought some time ago . Youv'e got to walk sideways around the place a couple of times to make sure you don't miss anything it's crammed to the roof literally .Saracen tools nice guys and a great shop. Demo'd a few machines to their customers, they used to be an esab distributor.
that looks expensive !
I understand there are no pockets in a shroud, so spend and enjoy it while you can.It was.
It was.
30 years to late for that.
I know where you've been! I think the Vark has been there before...
I go there every time I visit Lyme Regis. Lovely little alcove in the antique shop. It's particularly good as the rest of the shop keeps my other half interested so I can spend a long time poring over the tools. There's another good one nearby in Tytherleigh, although you have to walk through one stall with lots of really, really badly abused tools to get to the separate stall out the back with the decent stuff.@Dr.Al I know where you've been! Proper engineering shop, if I remember correctly you had a good mix of hobbiest and industrial equipment. Like you say absolutely packed.Me cousin's got a garage/test center in hereford , most of his gear came through saracen and he knows the owner fairly well . See I do pay attention, honest!
I've never seen a new, or at least clean, shiny and rust-free, brace auger bit in the metalGot slightly carried away (as usual) in my favourite place in Lyme Regis...

Those saws are £155 new normally, so I couldn't resist a brand new one for £65. They had a Dorchester one as well (also new and the same price) but I couldn't quite justify buying two posh tenon saws!
There were loads of them in the antique place in Lyme.I've never seen a new, or at least clean, shiny and rust-free, brace auger bit in the metal
I thought they came pre-rusted, as every single one I've seen in 52 yrs has been like it.
Seaton as well.@Dr.Al I know where you've been! I think the Vark has been there before...
