No,as I said, there’s a blank in the moulding already holed in readiness .Is that the Katsu?
Since splitting the gearbox to grease,I suspect a machining error as the gears are notch and noisy, years ago I had an Aldi one with a similar complaint .

1/3 pint of oil mixed with 2 gallons of petrol. The mix is 48:1
it also tells you it is 1:50.

She is a big Beautiful South and Housemartins fan, not really my type of music though I have dragged her to AC/DC, Seasick Steve and Nickelback, so I suppose I will make the best of it.

What oil out of interest would that be? Presumably you have to use a lead replacement additive in the fuel as well?
1/3 pint of oil mixed with 2 gallons of petrol. The mix is 48:1. In your position I would see how it runs with 30:1 mix. Good luck.
Funny you say that,I just can’t stall it!Just use it as a grunt tool and give your Makita an easier life...that sort of money its kind of a consumable really
As 1 to 48 is a ratio. Litres or UK gallons will both produce the correct oil/fuel ratio. The mixture will be by volume and for example 100cc of 2 stroke oil should be mixed with 4800cc of petrol.UK-gallons?
I didn't identify that at first - now that I know it's 1:48, I see it.
Thanks

Warm milk, lovely, happy daysNow for a measure you just need one of the 1/3rd pint glass milk bottles like the ones every child was given every day in schools back in the 1960's.
(true recycling of course - the bottles were reused - no throw away society then
We had the same but it was 1/3 pint tetra box by then.Warm milk, lovely, happy days
