At the time, I was a little surprised, but primarily pleased that I was able to buy my range of measuring stands at reasonable prices, even with a few quality pieces between them.
Lately, however, the fiddling with the different rods and various clamps has been getting on my nerves .... and sometimes I've had to work quite a few tricks.
So how do the better of the YT mechanics do it?
That's right, these things have long since evolved and it's no longer surprising that the range of used "old rod ware" was so wide ...
So, today I acquired
The seller is apparently a private person, no context, no blah-blah, just pictures and a factual description of the object of purchase.
Within a day the package was with me.
A hydraulic measuring stand from the German manufacturer Hörger&Gässler, HG for short - all joints are freed and locked with only one hand wheel simultaneously ...
... I am really looking forward to working with it.
A magnetic base is also included, of course.
Nothing special, probably not made in this country (?), but it makes a reasonable impression (I've obviously got worse ones in between) - what looks like metal is metal, not foil - even the front.
Up to this point, it has been a very good deal, including shipping well below half the normal new price of the usual platforms, and I couldn't find any signs of use.
But the offer included another piece, which of course makes the deal a bit more palatable.
Ok, ok, this model is not exactly on the top shelf at Mitutoyo, but strictly speaking I paid nothing for it and it will be better than one or the other of my existing dial indicators.
It may never have been in use, again despite looking carefully I couldn't see any marks, not even micro swirls on the glass.
Today was a good day.

Device for extending the axis of the angle grinder with 3 collets by 6, 8 and 10 mm. With difficulty, but bought directly from the manufacturer in Germany. A colleague found the company's WhatsApp on Facebook, and only then did the deal go through. Plus, a small wrench for 6 faceted bits, with a rotation direction switch, helps a lot in dark places.

Discovered I could get a Haynes manual for my new bike, better still a cheap second hand one.
Today, well last week, i aquired some italian exotica!
Bit of a project. Needs work.
Sadly, i have no idea what im doing, or more importantly what half of it does. The operators manual is only available in italian. I dont understand italian.................................

I've got 3 pulleys needing bored out to 19mm, and I really couldn't be bothered with actually boring them to final size, so I acquired this to do the job.
I'm surprised it actually turned up before Christmas, after Cutwel decided Royal Mail was a better option than DHL, who they used to send the other cheaper part of the order last week.

A nice piece of equipment, congratulations.
It's about twice as strong as my Holder_A28, which is a Ferrari_95 underneath.
Italian is the easiest foreign language of all, especially when one's language can name Latin as one of its sources, as yours does.
If you have specific questions, ask me, preferably with a picture from the Italian manual.
The Italian narrow gauge tractors are all quite similar.
Yours is just particularly strong and robustly built ... but not exactly cheap in spare parts ...

I was looking for something suitable for hills for our new small holding. A friend of mine said his company had one of these that had been out of use for a long while. Perfect for what i need, and a good price too. A good working example of one of these or similar is crazy money. It needs work, but it runs and its low hours.
But so much is seized through lack of use. Even the seat and the reversible seat and steering.
There are several controls that i dont know what they do, and nothing happens when i operate them. Even translating from italian, i still dont really know!
I will send some pictures tommorow.

Ahh, yes, there is that too. I need to swap out the injection pump for a NOS one. But dont have the adaptor for the dti to time it up.
Was looking for a proper perkins timing tool kit, but appear to be as rare as you know what.

I can send beer tokens to cover a new dongle etc and you could copy one to the other? I’m not 100% about that. Maybe someone else has a better plan.
..just put it into my basket and see if i get an offerNew sleepers I hope, old sleepers will wreck the planer blades in seconds!
