Myself and my brother used to play see how long you can hold onto it when we were younger!
Replace all electronics with a frequency controller?Acquired a little while ago courtesy of @My Old Landy (Thanks again) but got to use it for first time today and it was beyond useful. Have managed to determine our centrifuge is going to the big lab in the sky. It is giving a no speed sensor error. Using the scope I have been able to check the sensor(fine), analogue signal (fine), digital signal (fine). Basically signal is absolutely fine all the way to main processor. Have also checked clock signal and supply voltages all fine too. Problem must be internal to the chip . No parts available as this was built in the early 90's and is long discontinued. Time to drop a few ££££ on a new one.

While that would get it spinning the problem is it has to maintain a set rpm within a very tight tolerance. Specs from manual are 100 to 14000 rpm with a tolerance of +-5 rpm across the range. The board also controls the refrigeration unit at the back of the machine, soft start, electronic braking, run timer, and safety interlocks. You can also program it to run x speed for x mins then y speed for y mins then z speed for z mins all automatically controlled. Getting a new board and everything set up to run it to the standard that we need would take ages and since we use it every day it makes more sense for us to get a new one which will be here by the end of the week.Replace all electronics with a frequency controller?
You are most welcome, I am glad it has proven usefulAcquired a little while ago courtesy of @My Old Landy (Thanks again) but got to use it for first time today and it was beyond useful. Bloody cheek, packing is the one skill I do have! My Christmas pressie wrapping is an art form
Beauty!Today I acquired a Slip roll from my scrappy mate, I borrowed it about ten years ago for a job and cleaned it up then, he didnt want to sell it so its been sitting in his yard ever since, he finally decided to run it in and i happened to pop in just as it had been chucked on the wagon.
So another clean up!

The Adelphi is possibly the worst Hotel in LiverpoolWe usually go home on the train after visiting a couple of Liverpool institutions such as the Dispensery and end up dieing for a wee most of the journey home, but trains are getting better, toilets that sometimes work
But, this year we are planning on staying over, maybe the Adelphi. Probably a bit faded compared to it's hay days but beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder and we will have had plenty!
Good kit, I've got a few of the multi-compartment boxesView attachment 413345
I've too many odd little drawer units. The best part of £60, but worth it. I'd given up waiting for secondhand ones to appear.

Bold Street has loads of good food places Moose is good too in-between the cathedrals.I don't think I'll care after a skinful at the beer festival, it will have to be really bad to upset me
I haven't booked breakfast, just a bed for one night. It's within staggering distance of St George's Halll which was the main criteria
