It should turn up in post next week. Then it will get stripped, blasted and repainted in Roundel Blue.
280mm diameter will make a whopping great fly cutter!I got some metal discs from Rapidmetals. It was the first time I used them and it took a week for the three discs to arrive.
I have previously purchased metal from M Machine but they did not have 280mm diameter steel.

180mm x 30mm EN8
210mm x 30mm EN3
280mm x 30mm EN3
I plan to use the 280mm disc as a big fly cutter
Unfortunately, the 280mm disc arrived a little damaged. Not too happy about that as I will lose approximately 3 -4 mm of the disc's thickness if I want a flat surface over the whole diameter.

I am thinking I should mig weld it it up before I face it.
The 180mm diameter plate will serve as an intermediate plate between a lathe backplate and an ER40 collet chuck.

It was worth adding a little bit of steel to get free delivery so I added the 210mm plate. It can serve as a backup if I mess the 180mm plate up
