I've bought a book .
This is the Italian equivalent of the "Machinist Hand Book"
It contains illustrations, various table charts , with tolerances, how to perform X job on X machine , cutters speeds ,nomenclatures and what lubricant to use .
Obsolete,not updated, but certainly suits my needs (having something to read after dinner and take a look whenever needed ) .
That's manual machining,no dro ,no electronics,no CNC machines.
It's a 1950's edition.
Planning to buy more of those books but updated to our days .
Essentially an updated version of this one .
Then another one about hydraulics which is a nice reading too .
One about metallurgy .
And so on .

There's more uses for 1-2-3 blocks than ever were thought of .It'll probably be the same scenario here.Least once we have them, they're there if needed.
As milling , boring, or grinding setup dodges go, they are a source of epic escapes from the jaws of despair....

Acquired this last week, and got around to testing it this weekend.
I'd ummed and arred about buying a power bank for a while, as I do a few events a year where I need to provide power (technically the organisers should provide power, but that'll usually be an open frame generator with no extension cables available!)
I usually take the little generator, but it usually needs refuelled twice during a typical event, and even though it's a silenced suitcase genny, the drone can get annoying after a few hours. Plus it's starting to show it's age, so I had been considering replacing it.
Got to say I'm fairly impressed. Despite having mains power available today, I tested it, and it used 75% over 9 hours, running two laptops, a 32" TV, and a printer.
It probably won't last a full day on it's own at bigger events, but I guess 30 minutes from a generator would give enough charge to last the day, or I'm tempted to get a suitable solar panel that I can stick out to give it a boost, then I'd no longer have to have a can of petrol stinking out the van on hot days.
I need to make a better 12V charging lead for it though.
The lead it comes with for charging from a cigarette lighter is too short for my use, so I bought a 2m extension cable from Amazon, but the cable gets warm and the power bank rarely manages to draw the rated 10A. After a 2 hour drive home today, it was only pulling 5A and the measured voltage at the unit was only 11V. Without the extension it's getting 13-14V, and managing 8-10A.

It is allegedly meant to be 17AWG (~1mm²), which should be rated at 17A, but I also have my doubts about copper content, given it warms up within about 10 minutes of running.
I either need to get a cigarette socket and make a better extension cable, or find a source for a DC7909 plug.
I'd rather make a full custom cable as it would allow me to route it better around the cab without it being hard wired in place, but I can't find a source for the DC7909 connector that Bluetti uses. I'm guessing it's a connector that's only available in a type requiring overmoulding, and probably has a different official name/spec, but my searches so far have failed to identify what it actually is. Plus Bleutti use the centre pin, so I can't just buy a random DC7909 cable and cut the end off.
Other option is an extension cable with something like a small Anderson or XT connector in it, so I can get it through the corner of the seat base and bulkhead without any modification.
