I like the low profile. I may consider those panels (or similar) for our new garage, as I want to preserve as much ceiling height as possible to allow for a car lift.

They are only about 10mm thick, it's just the separate power supply thingy that might take a bit of hiding

I wonder if it might be installable inside the ceiling cavity if it can be accessed via a removeable fixture or cover plate. I'll have to look into that and check code.

Yesterday we acquired a new to us audi A4 ( B9 ) 2.0 tfsi

flew down to brizzle early yesterday to collect and drove it back up ,stop of in Hereford to see family and well would be rude not to stop in at saracen tools and it always costs money

new pica and leads , lisle hot sleeve a few bits of red to replace broken an missing bits of sets and an ernst " wrench " organizer not as hurtful on the wallet as the motor . Tomorrow will be a quick clean and pics and get the old A6 up for sale and hope I don't I have to deal with too many t*****s

I didn’t buy any Milwaukee tools today but I did get a Festool Midi dust extractor for when I do use them so I don’t have to spend so much time cleaning up after. I had to travel a fair bit to get it but as you see it’s hardly used and was a good price including the Bluetooth remote switch.

I have one of the older festool extractors and they have a great filtration system.

The genuine bags are very expensive but I sourced good quality aftermarket ones from Germany on either ebay or amazon.

Six or seven years later (one will go POP now!) they are still there and I turn them on every day.

Just a FYI - I have a couple of these in my workshop and as some of you know it isn't the largest building in the world so what I did was spray the back of the panel with builders foam and stick them to the ceiling, temporarily holding them in place with some props while the foam set. Six or seven years later (one will go POP now!) they are still there and I turn them on every day.

Builder's foam can sometimes work as an aerosol substitute for duct tape.

I like these lights because of the large light source area, which produces softer shadows than a smaller light source. I think they are primarily intended for insertion in a suspended (dropped) ceiling grid, but surface-mount kits are available for them, such as these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/192148402681

My bleed kit must have fell off doing a tree in Croydon last autumn, I should get another. What one did you get?

I got the stein one, mainly because it's the one Sam Turners had in stock, and I have the first aid version, so 2 little pouches, like the photo

Nooooo, no craps in the tree

Keep my friction saver, gloves phone etc in there.

And in other news my old crappy hedge cutter broke, so a new one of them is coming as well

Heck no, I know of a lad who took a n°1 up in the tree, and as he was climbing drt, and his groundie had a basic understanding of how the system worked, his groundie turned the tree into a big old friction device, which is both mean and hilarious.

TLDR - climber went for a pee up the tree and the groundie tied his rope so the climber couldn't get down

Fair enough, mine was a Stein FA with a Celox packet and eye wash vial added to it. No idea how I lost the bright orange thing!

I would find that bag gets in the way. Phone goes in my trouser pocket on a 2mm cord lanyard. Gloves on my hands and friction saver clipped on one of the gear loops.

Tonight I just finished a new friction saver, spliced it a few months ago but never got time for the lock stitching.
I have a 20m spliced eye rope, another friction saver (all Liros Ignite rope) and an e2e ocean prussik loop that all need lock stiching I may attempt to finnish tonight.

Nice, I don't find the pouch gets in the way, but like most things, climbing gear is very personal, so no right and wrongs, as long as you can pass LOLERing
