Today I got my hands on some bits.
Draper Start N Charger.
Dead. In fact the dojo had more life in it.
I was told both chargers, mains and in car were dead. True they made no difference to the battery charge meter.
I know in side is a decent Sealed Lead acid battery.
I opened it, behold. One dead, spilt and corroded 12v 17Ah battery.
I use 12v 17Ah in my line of work, so a rummage in my "Spares" bin and a decent, but old one was found.
It now is working and a new battery on order.
Secondly.
That is one of 5 identical doors. I now have salvaged the following parts.
Some decent 4mm sheet glass. The pan is to use them and grinding paste to re-square some Oil and water stones.
Some doors had 3mm glass what was taken to a Glass cutter to cut into replacement lenses for a old style hexagonal lamp at a friends house.
I tried to cut it with a sharp new glass cutter. No. I wasted 2 sheets.
The doors have bean cut up to decent lengths, some to be used to made a water butt stand. The other useful lengths to be kept for the future. The rubbish and small bits are heading to the charcoal maker.
