Didnt expect to find these at South cerney steam engine rally for a sensible price
Yes, and it will cost you more to get in too.So all the good stuff will be gone by the time I get there tomorrow

I have been thinking about one of those since my local B&Q stopped cutting mdf sheets to under 200mm strips.A new tracksaw.
As much as I liked my festool its always felt underpowered. 3 passes to trim a firedoor.
Playing up In the sun yesterday and speed control was getting a bit funky.
Its got a busy week next week.
Il do a review once ive had a play.

Very nice, I looked at buying one when I threw my cheapie circular saw off the shed roof picking it up by the loose dust hose but I settled for hammering the base back to straight(ish)And first impressions are good.
The double pivot point for the plunge felt odd the first couple of passes but really nice that the handle stays at the same angle regardless of depth.
Power wise it laughed at the 9x2 I ran it through. The festool I had to baby through slowly or take a couple of passes.
Need to remove clean and reglue the rail strips. blades a few mm further away from the track than the fes and the splinter guards dont reach.
£150 less than a naked fes too.
Il be giving the fes a good clean out and il keep it set up with fine blades for light duty only hopefully.Very nice, I looked at buying one when I threw my cheapie circular saw off the shed roof picking it up by the loose dust hose but I settled for hammering the base back to straight(ish)
The motor is only 100 watts more on the DeWalt, would it be worth dismantling the Festool and cleaning out the motor (Brushed?) and gearbox (If it's open)?
It's definitely not just a dull blade, right?
