god I gave one away and binned the other there rubbish . they create a lot of heat but not locally and cant be used in confined spaces /ok for a novelty trial that's about it

Well, I successfully brazed a new top onto a rotten Landy tank 30 years ago with one of them. Took a while to get the hang of it, and it's not possible to have as fine a control as a small gas torch, but it's doable. The biggest problem is too much heat, ironically enough. Dead easy to boil the braze back out once it's on, if you see what I mean.

Today we finally got a day to install the garage doors after picking up a few extra bits of box section, Just need to fix the ply panels in and add the cladding.

We only hung it on 4 hinges the other 2 middle hinges will be fitted in the morning, The idea is to slow down any criminals, we were looking at making some metal pegs that lock into the frames when the doors are shut so even if they cut the hinges the doors should stay in place.Beat me to it, you'll make a lot of noise trying to break into those.

Easily done. They fit those on the doors I used to install. Metal pegs fixed into the door, and then a corresponding hole and reinforcing plate on the frame. I believe they were Chubb ones they used.
