I've never heard of buffalo board, but having seen your drawers I'll have to give it a try!!

Its heavy and expensive but completely water resistant - its about 30% epoxy and plastic coated.
Used for decking on trailers.
For the 60 quid plus a sheet, youd be better off with marine ply, or cabinet grade plyboard.
I only used it because it was available.

Its also know ad Phenolic board. Not cheap but extremely weather resistant, even on a south facing elevation

I get mine from ebay, they come up under 'drawer runners' search

Darn it, thats a great job. and I just spent wonga on second hand snap on roll cab..buffalo board is v.good used it on various truck body floors,extremely hard wearing but fred king heavy, but that part doesnt matter with your draws eh. yup well impressed.Arther

Or you could cannibalise old filing cabinets or office drawer units, some even have the drawers made of steel trays.

Car boot sale - 50p a pair.
I bought £80 worth :-)

Ebay is a good source, as stated earlier.
Also, i got a few from a computer recycling place my son did work experience at - theyre used for sliding shelves/mounts in server racks.

When I have purchased these I have found they are not great quality......so i was hoping for a link to good value ones. lol

To be honest Ebay has been ruined by them allowing prices FROM.......

If you search lowest price plus postage you more often than not get some really cheap item listed (not the one you searched for) and it's made the search function next to useless.

The only single thing I would say would have made them 'better' was to have the drawer fronts cover the rails...

The original plan was false fronts on the drawers, but i decided against.
I have plenty more scrap to make some new fronts tho...
