Toolstation New Web Site

I have just clicked on a open tab containing a big order i built up last night, only for the page to refresh to a new site design and layout.
I imagine its a redesign to be more tablet friendly maybe.
It now looks very similar to screwfix.

Personally for me it was one of the best online shopping sites i use, the beauty of the old site was you could build a list and easily see what was in stock a different branches or in the central warehouse.
Now it looks like you need to select Delivery or Click and collect for each individual item.

Previously you would click on a category then work you way down a list adding to your basket or altering quantities now you need to find the huge product box after scrolling through the page and manually change quantities.

So does anyone know a company with a workable web site with a similar product range.
Until today toolstation was my go to supplier.

I used to like having all items grouped together listed by sizes easy to see options and add multiple sizes.

Still show stock thought have to select branch at top of page here.

I'm even luckier. I'm ten minutes away from everything. 4 howdens 3 Travis Perkins 2 Jewsons. 3 wickes 2 b and q
1 selco and everything else I could possibly need. Only place that's a bit of a trek is my sawmill at 30 mins but there order only so no big deal.

I only use a desktop or pc i have use the app on my phone a few times when out.

I do not have the Multipack option from the earlier post just Trade Packs.

I've always thought that Toolstation needed to improve their website. Screwfix does have a better customer experience/interaction. Filtering & Searching for product seems easier on Screwfix. Will have a look at the new Toolstation website later.

Search for "electrical enclosure" for example. First 19 results - Showers, towel rails and a hob ?! Last 1 right at the bottom is ONE electrical enclosure - then there are 70 pages of results including cement mixers and horse fencing .

Use this in google search.

Especially useful on sites with poor search engines or when hunting down obscure items.
Best way I use sf for items like that is view bycategory

Thanks that's a good trick, but really as a company with a £1.3 Billion T/O I really should not have to!
i do prefer TS though so I hope the new website is not too bad - seems Ok but not actually used it yet.

Don't know about other search engines, but using Safari you just have to search for 'electrical enclosure!screwfix and it takes you right there, the '!' does it, works on most similar selling sites.

As above. Site: web address does the same on google search.
Very handy.

I dont have a problem with the search as i know the product categories, i probably only place a couple of orders a week.
Its just the time it now takes i cant see the logic in selecting each product one at a time for delivery or pick up as opposed to putting everything in the basket and then choosing how to receive the complete order depending on your preference or there stock order.
The most annoying part is clicking "continue shopping" in the pop up box after each product.
Perhaps they are looking for customers who just buy one thing at a time.
