I dont have a problem with the search as i know the product categories, i probably only place a couple of orders a week.
Its just the time it now takes i cant see the logic in selecting each product one at a time for delivery or pick up as opposed to putting everything in the basket and then choosing how to receive the complete order depending on your preference or there stock order.
The most annoying part is clicking "continue shopping" in the pop up box after each product.
Perhaps they are looking for customers who just buy one thing at a time.

From the sounds of it they've copied screw fixes methods now. Very frustrating. Don't use tool station that often but preferred there site over sf

Thanks that's a good trick, but really as a company with a £1.3 Billion T/O I really should not have to!
i do prefer TS though so I hope the new website is not too bad - seems Ok but not actually used it yet.

I worked for somebody fairly high up in there web team recently and he asked me what I thought.
I was brutally honest. Haven't noticed any changes for the better though.

Maybe i will have to dig out my login details and see if the Wurth website has improved, Häfele site isn't to bad but much higher delivery charges.
Toolsation was great with free delivery over £10, but i have a feeling they will be soon loosing a few trade customers.

Worth seeing if hafelle have a distributor about. Have one locally. Not only do I get better prices but there delivered to the distributor free.

Haven't used wurth for years. was on jersey and had a site visit from the dealer. Never tried there website.

I have a good local Hafelle distributor in southend i use for odd bits but on online shop, so its either a physical visit or a phone call. Problem is i just dont have the time for either. We used to have a good Wurth rep but when she got promoted the service went to pot, weeks would go past without seeing anyone then they would turn up and get the hump when you did not want to order, plus you have to watch them as the prices jump all over the place.
I have had over 4 reps in the last few years at least, i finally gave in and placed a order at the end of October and it never arrived and haven't seen a rep since.

Better prices are out there its just having time to do the leg work, i have been ordering boxes of 18g brad nails from TS for years, then a few weeks back they didn't have any stock, and i found i could get them on a next day delivery via amazon for less the TS.

Shame these are vg quality and a good price. I went gasless for my nail guns a few years back and by far the cheapest option for me.

Both ts and sf do my nut in with nails. Usually on a next day so no use when you run out that day.

On the subject of Screwfix; following positive reviews on this site I bought 5ltr of their No Nonsense Degreaser.
A total waste of money IMO. Not a degreaser at all but weak Trafic Film Remover and not that good at that.

I feel reviews are generated by the company's...many times i have used stuff after reviews and seen nothing like what has been said

Not on this forum they aren't I hope.

Never used anything but brake cleaner for degreasing parts.

The word company might of been a big clue that i never meant this place... and yea brake cleaner is my choice if i don't use the parts washer which has 5 year old white spirit and still going strong

Lol. The words this site were a clue in the quoted text. Do agree sf reviews seem staged at times.

Always keep a few aerosol brake cleaners about too. Great for cleaning out threaded holes and awkward spots.

I posted a "Question" for the SF Q&A asking for which out of a long list of blades they sell I should buy to fit a particular cutter they sold.
Bounced as inappropriate/not conforming to their rules

I normally just use the old school catalogues and then bang the part numbers into the website.
