The flash is not going to hurt anyone through the PVC curtains, we used to have some portable screens in red and green for jobs in the foundry. Like these.
Ah yes, those curtains! oh they won't last long, soon enough people around your booth will start complaining! They will not get arc eye tho but they THINK they will because of the bright flashes they can see!
that'll do the trick, we had those too but now we changed back to the black curtains!

We had something similar when fitting lighter shade curtains, those complaining were shown the paperwork stating the curtains complied with the relevant standards and told to shut up!

Haha! they will never stop wining don't worry!
if only i forget to completely close my curtains (only a 1 cm gap or summat 
) they start to complain already!

Those curtains are fitted in the welding dept of my college. so if they use them there they are ok for industry i guess.

We had to put on an extra shift from the start of the year to cope with demand, the company even paid for 6 machine operators to qualify as welders as the agencies kept sending people who wouldn't even rate as "tackers"

lol! yeah, we have a welder shortage too! I'm running around the plant trying to keep up....i'm doing welding, machine operating and the assembly lines at once......some days i can't even keep up with all that!
But then again, it allows me to do some robot welding too every now and again!
Surely hope things will settle down a bit soon!
