I have a Trend airshield face mask, the one with built in air filters.
A bit of a lump but very effective ate keeping dust and grot out of the lungs.
BUT the filters are damn expensive, like twenty quid a pair.
Ok there is a nice plastic fitting on the end and a plastic support inside.
But twenty quid! and they dont last too long when I am on a sanding mission.
I saw these on fleabay to go on the american version.
Now that looks like a sock to me. Well kind of.
But it got me thinking could I buy some filter material and make my own?
I have looked on the spec sheet and it says
"Respiratory protection (for reference only) NPF50 to BS EN 12941 THP2."
Has anybody got any idea where I could source the filter material and make my own?
I appreciate that taking risks with health is not a good idea but think this is worth a try as Long as I dont have to buy a skip load of material.
