Tripping compressor

Thanks again it was with motor running with the belt off. I havent tried new wire direcrly to the motor bypassing the switch. Im gonna try it next. If it doesnt work ill try those guys at Kingsdown Compressed Air see if they can help.

Hi just to finish off this thread. My neighbour is an electriction and he swapped my 16amps RCBO type B for type C. It tripped on restarting the compressor. I contacted the specialist and i was told that the compressor is too small and it may not be worth looking into. It is 100Lt 3hp. One told me it would cost me £200 just for them to take a look so I bought a new compressor from machine mart and vat free it cost me £410 with delivery i switched it on and it started with no problems.

hook the old tank up to the new compressor so you can double your stored air is you need it

Thats what im going to do. I also want to cover it to protect it from the elements to certain degree.
