I will get the mig out at some point to do a proper repair but it will do for now and is possible with arc I probably could of done it better but it was pretty rotted
Is that on a 52 plate onwards matey? looking at that canister. Yes your right looking at a crack is a lot worse than any type of weld, good or bad.@roofman here is a photo of that weld on some 2 mm plate on the truck its a bit bird poo but its better then the crack I cant get a photo of the build up I did as its under the side board
you dont want to see my project cabstar atm...took the bed off and it looks all undresseddunno mate it was just a temporary fix till I can find some new plate and get the mig on it i do weld thin stuff some critical stuff sometimes it was a free temp job for my brother in the middle of our yard. Stick was the only option at the time. Welding new plate is easy when I get five mins ill do some in any position just super busy. @roofman as I said before I don't know its new ish mate brother put a private plate on it. I've got structural work coming left right and centre and skip and bin repair coming from top and bottom. Over Christmas ill do some might even video I sadly do more mig which I dont really like but its quick
