My next Mint upgrade isn't because it needs a new install rather than the automatic upgrade for minor version upgrades

I like Mint. I used to install Ubuntu but found that Mint is better supported these days and seems to just work with old hardware that requires messing around on Ubuntu. Also it has a start menu rather than Ubuntu's trying-to-hard-to-be-different interface.

I like Mint KDE, it's just so crisp.

yeah I think i'm on 20.04 , only mentioning the update distro thing as if you leaveing it untill they drop support for your current distro it becomes more hassle. (did this on a couple of older servers last year , ahhhh)

I "think" <---(got to be careful about that ) it will just go for the next LTS version if you are on an LTS version. But google and ubuntu how to's be your friend

Looked at https://unetbootin.github.io/ it asked questions in Klingon as far as I am concerned
Then people talk about this version that version, support for this or that is going to stop.

Time flies, I thought I had only just upgraded from 12 LTS.

I agree as well. I run mint on a couple of machines. It works well and is easy to install like any of the Linux systems.

I much prefer Mint too.

Support for windoze stops too. When you upgrade major versions of windoze you also need to do a clean install of the new version and copy data across/reinstall apps. At least linux developers aren't part of the new world order and involved in crimes against humanity!
