Yep! They are very air thirsty. I run a Hydrovane that gives 11cfm FAD continuously and a 300l air bank and when cutting it runs most of the time.

It's a £70 Aldi special. Think it's 12cfm and 25L and I found it was coming on for maybe ~15% of the cutting time and would cut out again while I was cutting, so seemed to fair pretty well.
Having said that, I suspect I wasn't pushing enough air through so will double check the (working!) gauge tomorrow.

I have a £5 can crusher that has seen me well over the last couple of years, but now it's knackered cos the flimsy arms are bent out of shape.
I was going to bin it and then I thought "woah - I can cut new arms out of 3mm plate!" - hardly a high tech project but, as with welding, it's probably best to start with simpler projects
Wife's out for a long lunch tomorrow so hopefully me, my cutter and my gopro will have a shot at that tomorrow
