Upgraded media valve not working.

oky doky, going to need to nip back to the workshop and measure my nozzle size then as im pretty sure the one i use is smaller than 8mm? I notice the air inlet on this gun you have is much bigger than my current set up as well so maybe with the increased air going to the gun 8mm might be ok? im unsure TBH?

When I built my cabinet many years ago, I had used several other ones beforehand, and all had the foot pedal
loose on the floor. After running one for a period of time, I like to switch feet, and on the loose pedal
you end up chasing it around.
So I got a valve, and made a bracket to hold it on the cabinet, made a treadle the full 4' width of the cabinet.
Much nicer to step anywhere, and not have it move around.

That's my Goal also. Just a cab mounted quality lever ball valve for the air control. Simples and gives the control I want - full bore without the need for a foot pedal

I did use one a few times that had a strip to step on that activated a solenoid valve.

Maybe mentioned already but what compressor do you have?

I have this one which runs my cab with 8mm nozzle full bore easily

Ahh, thats a pretty decent compressor, mine is only a 3hp 13CFM one so might struggle with an 8mm nozzle.

No need to worry, simply look at the chart:

FWIW I think the 8mm is the outer nozzle on that gun I bought, aliexpress is kinda vague.

Unless im reading that wrong I think my compressor would struggle with 8mm, what size of compressor do you use?

I have a 10 hp 2 stage. But it starts and stops when running the 8 mm nozzle.

Yea, my little 3HP wouldent stand a chance with an 8mm then.

I'll have a look around and see if I can get the same gun with a smaller nozzle.

This one shows the internal jet in photo 7 might need a brass sleeve (it's only the air bit)

That's not what I implied.
My 10 hp runs & shuts off, so I have more than enough needed for the 8mm.

Please consult the chart I posted and choose one from it.
Taking the guess work out of it, and making sure you buy the right one that works for you.
Note the relationship between air nozzle & abrasive nozzle as well.

the 8mm nozzle is the blast nozzle not the air supply nozzle that is a lot smaller on a suction gun to suit the size of the comp . the cone one at the rear is the air blast nozzle

I have to say that's a rip-off price for a few standard plumbing parts cobbled together! You could make your own for probably half that price!
