nope ,,, you get a tougher drive train , a better pay load , larger wheels so better ground clearance , a chassis that will take a custom body easily , if you add half a ton in body jacks / legs , or a hiab so what .
an engine and gearbox thats designed to work for a million miles or what ever ,, loads of spares at good money , and they are still only 8ft 2 max width ,, room in the cab , and they simply drive better with a load ,, onboard air supply , air suspension too , loads and loads of stuff ,,, ex military stuff too ,,, nice 4wd handy sized trucks ,, and every piza delivery driver isnt pricing them out of existence
will that do as a start lol

It’s a bit of a dilemma really you have too be choosy with what you take I find when in a 3.5 toner. You go over weight very quickly, a 4x4 towing a trailer dose solve the problem but storage and space is a problem for them. And you never seem to have enough space in just a 4x4 unless you stream line your inventory and tools to bare essentials. 4x4 transits are supposed to be pretty good but pricey. It all depends on your budget.

Daily is between my 3.9 v8 discovery 1 or my streetfighter fireblade both are terrible on fuel but make me smile

I don’t need a vehicle for work so to speak, the only thing I’d like is a petrol focus estate for race weekends

The 4x4 truck is a toy that’s something Iv always wanted but will never get one as I’d rather buy a house instead of something daft like that

Es un pequeño dilema, realmente tienes que ser exigente con lo que tomas. Encuentro cuando estoy en un tóner 3.5. Pasas de peso muy rápido, un 4x4 tirando de un remolque soluciona el problema, pero el almacenamiento y el espacio es un problema para ellos. Y parece que nunca tiene suficiente espacio en un solo 4x4 a menos que optimice su inventario y sus herramientas hasta lo esencial. Se supone que los tránsitos 4x4 son bastante buenos pero caros. Todo depende de su presupuesto.

A well loaded RWD van will have more grip and is generally a slightly more robust drive line. FWD offers more grip for lightly loaded vehicles. Some manufacturers are offering FWD and RWD van with fancy terrain response systems which help and as others have said Tyre choice is a big factor either BFG KO2 or 3 Mud terrains or all terrains are best but you can’t beat proper winter tyres when it gets cold and snowy though they wear quickly. I mean the main Reason the SSE (Scottish and southern energy) vans never get stuck is even though they are 4x4 they all have massive hydraulic winches mounted to the front bumper.

They're not trying hard enough with you then. Ask the guys down here and they're always getting stuck because they're always at max weight in wet fields. The winches are only used for pulling cables, when they get stuck they just go and ask the farmer to bring his tractor.

I think part or the reason they don’t try too hard is there ain’t many farmers with above 50hp tractors up here so they would be calling recovery companies all the time which would get very expensive.

When im at work I wanna do my job then go home, not wait hours in a freezing cold filed for recovery.

Id expect the boss to have a system in place to stop staff getting stuck on purpose and abusing the company overtime(if any)

Weekends off road are totally different until it comes time to replace broken parts and punctured tyres

rears come with a lot less hassles and lower bills , try a clutch for example ,,
