A partition will be built internally to segregate the area from the rest of the structure (fourth wall).

How about something like this - easier than framing, cladding/plasterboarding, chosing & fitting a door size to suit and possibly cheaper too?

Just a thought you have quite a void under your floor, is it not possible to put metal grate down as your floow and have your extraction through the floor?

Also im sure you have thought of that but be sure to have fresh air to your compressor room, dont want to be breathing any recirculated paint/fumes that may leak out of your paint room, assuming your going the air fed mask route.

Thank you for the compliment there Chris, I'm certainly no carpenter by any means! I try to achieve a professional result but it seems to take far longer than the pros!

Indeed, there is a void where the floor is concerned due to employing a floating floor idea. There's probably about 100mm max which isn't a great deal of room for a fan but more worryingly is that moisture/rain water does appear under the structure. It dries out well enough and the timber framework is raised off the concrete but I'd prefer to keep electrical equipment clear from that area.

You're quite right, a safe supply of air is essential for the air fed mask. The likely hood is that'll come from a compressor situated in the garage connected to the house (30 meters away).

You know I never considered that! Thank you for the link. An internal partition might save time as opposed to producing a false timber wall and of course the pennies! Plus light can shine through as well
