New welding vertical pictures( progress )

Ive tried putting the rod in at 95deg to 100deg which is much better at
keeping the slag out the way which lets you see the puddle, this has helped
me a lot, ive also tried low hydrogen 3.2 rods which is the smoother weld in
the pictures,
things seem to be going in the right direction, cheers all ocean

oh yeah you got it now! they look good . Try cutting through it and see if you are burning right in the corner , also try two pieces tack them up and go for it ! Nice work

Have yopu tryed splitting your runs?

put your root in. And instead of putting a cap on, do this put your 2nd pass on the right give a slight weave to the centre of the rootand weave back to the wall. your 3rd pass will then be weaved from the left hand side to the centre of root (marrying in your 2nd pass). Heres some home work, do a 6 mm fillet using this method,
