Blimey that makes mine look like nothing !!! Ive got tomorrow off so ill get it running and keep draining it down,
I was going to run the pipe work in copper pipe would 15mm be ok or should i use 22mm ? and is it ok to solder the joints or should i use compression fittings?

22 will disipate heat better but 15 will be ok
compression or soldered will be ok whichever

I think solder on joints would be the preferable of the two for compressed air.

they do some decent water seperators for 16 quid 1/2 inch bsp just get a few compression fittings for it to fit your 15mm pipe then solder joints after

sounds good !! not sure about the washing machine valves maybe im just being too tight , im going to run 1 pipe from the compressor like the diagram thats on here ie with a fall on the pipe into the drain legs, then into my shed and through the old seperator i pictured on here then split the line in two, one for air tools and one for spraying, the air tools line i will get a filter/lub/reg and the spray line a filter/reg. As i dont know the max cfm of the compressor should i just buy these with the larger cfm flow rate to cover myself ?,
At the end of the day im going to spray my camper van ( when it warms up loads !!!) to get someone else ( a profesional )to do this im looking at a figure around 2k which i cant afford and as ive completly stripped it down to nothing and then rebuilt it all myself id be much prouder turning up at shows and meetings saying its ALL my own work!! so if i have to pay a few more pounds for the right equipment so be it

clarke do a filter regulator 28 quid 1/2inch bsp page 161 no 1 its rated up to 40cfm .personaly i wouldnt bother with an oiler filter reg. i chucked one away . just a couple of drops of oil in tool before use . keep it simple and cheap

I use washing machine ball type valves with no problems, but some ball valves are directional so just make sure you don't get any leaks, and look for direction arrows on the bodies.

I also use washing machine pipe ends at 10 bar with no probs, but the hot & cold pipes may not take the pressure, again, look for markings.

I've had problems with Clarke regulators, I found Thorite ones to be better, or even Aldi when they have them!

worth knowing. i only ever use there water seperators on pots . use norgren filter seperators on comp .there great /for free

cheers Bright spark i see the one you mean, i got a new catalogue a couple of weeks ago and its gone up to £29.36 !!!!,ill get one on thursday when i go shopping, I dont like going in there to often as i always end up spending a bloody fortune !!! on things that i might need !!! It will make it cheaper and easier not using a lubricator and then i only need one line aswell, Will i need another filter when i get round to spraying ie to collect smaller particles ?

RTB COMP yes its the washing machine pipe ends i have spare ( the ones with the red/blue levers that the washing machine flexi pipes connect to) o if your using them then so will i.
