there was a guy at ruffoth autojumble selling wax polish he poured lighter fuel overGlazes (I think) allow the paint to breathe, I'm after sealing the paint. It has been glazed before it had it's first polish (Farecla Black Top). It certainly does hide any minor imperfections, and seems to make the wax finish last a lot longer.
One discovery I have made is that a good wash with washing up liquid, or traffic film remover (garage jet washes) will pretty much strip any wax off the paint in one go.
Does anyone remember Simoniz Liquid Diamond? or if it worked? I seem to remember on the T.V. advert they poured battery acid and petrol onto the bonnet of a car, then lit the petrol. They claimed that the paintwork was undamaged. This may be the kind of product I'm looking for. I wonder if they tested it against Welsh sheep wee?
the bonnet then set fire to it then polished it up. i asked how much , he replied il tell u when im finished demonstrating .i told him to stick it where the sun dont shine and walked off it did look impressive mind . il get someone else to get me sum next month . i gotta hold face
