Arrow will regrind to undersized.
They won't build up.

Get it Magnafluxed first could/expect it will save you money and heartache.
Just because it is a billet crank dont think they cant crack & that is not good, over rev, spun, heated, seized, perm a mix of the 4
When we were looking at 1960cc Ford push rod X flow for the Morgan hill climb car we tried second hand cranks of all persuasions, the one thing we said was we will pay when they have a crack test cert, 8/10 would not pass an that was for just worn journals.

I just ment in general, arrow regrind but not build up.. maybe not that one after another look at the photo!

Op, have you measured it yet to see how deep the damage is?

Hi it is a billet steel crank I think it's made by arrows, I'm all ears the guy I got it from said it's a easy fix he said just tig it

Be surprised if it isn't nitrided EN40B if it's from Arrow precision. Anything more than .010" will be through the nitriding. If/when you get it ground, it might be a good idea to get it done by Jason Howes at South Kilworth, Jason used to work for Arrow precision, and was still doing work for them last time I was up there. If the fillet radius on (especially) the big ends isn't preserved when regrinding, you know exactly where the failure will occur.

Where in the country are you? I know a man who builds some of the best xflow race engines and he will be able to advise or even sort you out with a replacement.

Go see or ring Fraser Brown he can do furnace welding of cranks etc, great bloke to talk to as well.
