I've done exactly that. I put a row of hooks along the edge of the shed and hook a tarp onto them, the other side gets hooked onto a couple of long poles and guy lined out.perhaps just a tarp tied in each corner, it would ne nice not to be dodging rain showers..
I don't put it up very often, but on the odd occasion that it's raining and I need a bit of outside space, it's a life saver, and it keeps the rain off.
A shed will also collect grinding dust, fumes and dampness. It is easier to sweep up a mess outside. I dont like doing dirty work where I am storing stuff.
I fully agree, but I can think of a million times when I've thought "I wish I had a bit of inside space to do this in the dry".
But I can't think of a single occasion when I've thought "This being inside working in the dry is rubbish, I'd much rather be outside getting wet in the rain".
