No difference if AC or DC. Resistance of the work lead and torch is the same. The heat in the leads will be the same regardless of the polarity.

Where did I state the resistance would differ between AC and DC???

if i had to go to the far end of a f./././rt just to change a cable nothing would get done. its not rocket science or in a nuclear reactor its joe soaps back garden welder as long as the wire lays on and it dont go up in smoke its ok
