My close up vision is pretty poor, spent too many years in front of a computer screen. In the last 6 years have gone from just about coping without readers to needing them for everything
My reading glasses are optimised for VDU work so focal length is all wrong for closeup TIG work. My fix is a 1.5 cheater lense inside the welding helmet along with my readers. Means I can then focus on detail at about 10"
