Welding threaded rod to round bar

I am tying the walls of an old stone outhouse together to stop them spreading. I've made the tie plates and am going to use m24 threaded rod to go through the wall and plates. I am going to use 25mm round bar inside the building and join it to the threaded rod on either end. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to weld or join them together?

Ps. I'm not using high tensile rod as I've welded it before with catastrophic results.

Make a halving joint about 50 t0 80mm long, vee it out and weld all round it,

that's a left hand thread by the looks

Surely the best way would be to turn the ends down and cut a thread?

ok if you can get a 4 meter or larger length of 24mm rod in your lathe

Isn’t this what thread dies are for?
Surely quicker than cutting, grinding, welding.

Why not use threaded all the way?....or have I missed something?

All the ones I've had done ... and copied .... have been butted up and veed out full depth then welded up,

Wall to wall is about 4.5 metres

Piece of 20x20 angle opposite each other and welded full length. Make them as long as you feel you need to.

Was thinking the same , go bsp or conduit thread with ratchet dies and long nuts.
