Colchester Student. Not set up for milling, I'm hoping to find a suitable machine i the near future.
A basic milling setup on the lathe only consists of a cutter in the chuck and either a piece of sturdy angle plate else even just a block of hardwood on the cross slide, to clamp/screw the metal to and get it vertical. It doesn't need to be owt fancy if you just take it steady.
Incredibly a set of screws just turned up on eBay. SLOT HEAD SLOW TAPER 5/16 WHITWORTH 26 TPI it would appear. I'll still finish these ones off tho.
Still wondering if anyone has had any success with tidying up hardened jaws with a dot of TIG.
