Yeah i've done a bit of that and liked it, i have a mild steel vertical up test piece from my apprenticeship on a shelf somewhere.

Me too, in that my ten week course started with two weeks of O/A.
Too much fire for me

I'm not too fond of O&A, if demonstrating a 2" 6G butt (root and cap) within a few minutes you are like a water feature, ozzing sweat.

Sometimes if I get a troublesome individual, I'll have them do a 4" butt at 6G. Now that is grief!!

The biggest I did was only 6 mm plate, but they was like looking in a volcano.
