Accessories are NEVER in the sales, I know, I have looked, you wantit, you suck it up! Absolutely first class quality though. And not the most expensive belt I have seen either, there is a belt made in the US the last time I looked there was no change from £2k

£260 for a belt is hilarious. If they can persuade some people that it's worth that then fair play to them.

very much so, in .45 ACP Just to make @ronan crazy, I have a couple and my pal has one over land ie he can use it to shoot foxes and vermin as it doesn't disturb the livestock around his farm when he does a few geese. The sheep are all in lamb right now too and we have had murders on with crows and dogs. It is the moronic owners but when you have a dog herding sheep into a fast flowing river, you have to act. One year he lost 23 sheep! There was hell to pay. made the dog owner pay up. The owner declared that his wife"used to pose with them for pictures", my pal suggested he might want to make a rug from the pelts and she could pose on that. I love dogs but there are circumstances arise when you just have to act. He had me wandering about in the fields this afternoon with a rifle "just to put the general public on notice". The guy is a close pal but I wouldn't dream of taking my dogs down there unless they were on a lead, because much of it is public right of way, Country Park and an "area of outstanding Natural Beauty" many of the public don't think the rules apply to them. A shot from a heavy calibre rifle soon gets their attention.

Oh idiot dog owners, plenty of them about. I take my sisters dog to the park when ever she visits. Lovely little park, and on all the gates and railing, clear signs "All dogs must be kept on a lead". The amount of people i see walking into the park and stopping to take the lead off the dog to let it run wild, is huge. People seem to have a "The rules are for other people, i'm exempt" attitude.

The Carbine was based on an SMLE Enfield action NOT the later MK4 and for authenticity that is the action you should use. I will take a couple pics of mine on Weds and show you. The action should be smooth and slick as they use used actions in the build.

Twenty six hundred pounds is a lot of money for one of those. I've only had one bolt action gun that would shoot a pistol calibre, and that was a J.C. Higgings .410 shotgun. My Dad shortened the barrel removing the choke, and it was fairly accurate and surprisingly quiet using .41 Long Colt cartridges out to 50 or so yards. He kept it as a truck gun.

They did have a reputation as being finiky feeders and the extraction isn't brilliant either. But they look like a lot of fun. Of course they have to have longer barrels to comply with the law, the original had a very short barrel which would make it technically a pistol.

There were not many originals made, meaning they are very rare now, and being of limited appeal makes mass production pointless. They are all handmade really.

I can't wear braces due to spinal injury scars .

Mrs Bruce on here has made me two fantastic heavy duty belts out of her gun holster leathers , one black , one dark brown . She used two thicknesses of double stitched leather so I can make a hoop out of my trousers to get them over my feet with very little bending forward.

I'm chuffed to bits with them , PM her & see if she is still playing with leather.

I had a SMLE .22 rimfire training rifle,. It was a fun gun to shoot with no discernible recoil whatsoever. Removing the follower in the .303 magazine clip allowed dozens of the ejected .22 cases to fall in to be disposed of later.

There you go @Cato , not even a premier brand just handmade quality and their Lined and Raised Bridle Leather Belt starts at £336, it IS a days work though stitching one up, plus all of the overheads so a craftsman's pay for the day, quality materials and a warm workshop, not really excessive I wouldn't have thought. I repaired one of those dunhill belts for someone Not too long ago.

I have to assume it was a knockoff, as the middle lining had as much chance of being real leather, as I have of seeing 21 again. There again, at least I do have advantage of actually having been genuinely 21 for one year of my life.

Wow, their prices of gone up since I bought mine! That said, I wear mine every day and all it’s had is a feed a couple of times a year
