what bushing do I need

to help dry the air out question is do they sell a 1-3/4" bushing?

Or do I need something else to screw into the holes they are rather large at 1-3/4"

Im not 100% following Lee? Have you bought the 40 model? if so it seems to be 1 1/2" ports, What are you going to?

they are stainless ones there but any decent plumbing place will give you a gb reducer that dose the same job to suit you.

maybe inch and half ports they measured inch and 3/4 though or 45mm internal diameter and I douldnt find a bushing large enough.
yes I brought the 40. not sure but I need to reduce the port down I will probably mount it on the end of my copper run then mount a smaller filter before it and a regulator after it. Or is it better the other way around?

the 45mm should represent a 1",1/2 pipe fitting, the od of a 1",1/2 thread would be 48-49mm but dont forget thats for a male fitting.
if it was a rod of steel it would be 1",3/4
this lad has what you want, if you click on 1,1/2 to 1/2 reducing size and he has all the way down to 1,1/2 to 1/4 if thats the size you need.

if its going on to copper pipe than get a brass fitting ( compression one side and npt or bsp thread the other side ) to fit the reducing bush above and connect the copper pipe on the compression fitting side of it.

i suppose it would depend on what kind of filter your other one is, if it was another water trap filter id personally mount it as far away as possible from it as if both of them are side by side they wouldnt be running on optimum imo.
the air temp wont be much different with them so close together and with air the cooler it is the better.
let one filter catch as much water as possible and then further down the ( rising ) line mount the other water trap, at least the air will be a cooler temp by then and good for another clean.

mount the regulator where ever you want really as i dont think it makes much difference where it is on the line other than where its needed.
i have a water trap filter of a similar size on my set up, then i have a regulator and after that i have a filter/regulator's at points where i need to regulate or dry the air more than normal.

Thnks Tinman that is just the bushing I need,

I have one regulator filter and I also have a smaller water trap too, I will probably put the bigger one with the silicate at the end of the run then.

Works out cheaper to get a 1" 1/2 to an 1" bushing then get some others to drop it down further from toolstation

I have one regulator on the compressor tank the built in one but I may pipe straight into the tank itself.

ok so bushings are here all good going to get the rest of the pipe work sorted out at the weekend, plan is 22mm copper i have a pile of scrap being as it aint worth much nowdays ill put it to use.

ah yeah, if you have a pile of scrap 22mm copper pipe about you might as well get some more use out of it.
i done mine in 1/2 galvanized pipe, i see a lot using blue water pipe and fittings, it looks clatty tho but suppose its fast(ish)

well I have started it is getting there did 3 hours of cutting and sweating thinking of using the washing machine taps for drains decision is do I use the 15mm compession fitting? will it be ok at 10 bar?

had a quick search there and below is a post from an old thread here, take from it what you will.

In the past I have used 15/22/28mm copper/brass compression and solder fittings at up to 250psi without failure. Not recommended, but hopefully will give an idea of their capability.
