Yeah, unfortunately. Jan-DIY I haven’t tested it yet as no 3~ at home. When I bought it it was for parts with apparently intermittent error code which seller doesn’t remember. Tomorrow I am going to do that at a local business and see what the problem is. I have 400ac from a boost transformer and it came with a U-P for probably a phase missing as I see a row of resistors and 2 optos for that purpose on the BPS 26 board.Ah.
This is a pita to change 1st and second parameter on these machines because you need to repower it.
I think he is talking about access to the hidden / advanced settings menu.
You would do this by pressing the extra buttons on the original fronius torch.Good idea
You can fit any torch you like though. Just add some extra wires into the torch plug and connect to a push button. Or just bridge the pins with a bit of wire if you don't want to change the settings very often.
Or, a better way, mount the buttons onto the welder and connect them inside onto the torch socket wiring.
