That's a retail pack of 5mm holes.
Most of us have drills so we won't have seen them before as we make our own.
Those are for the diy types so they can just pop the hole out of the card and put it where ever they need it.
I remember struggling to bring myself to throw a reader in the skip when I found it in a storage room at an old Aerospace factory - it was in mint condition but what the hell was I going to use it for? (or anyone else for that matter).
I once received a lighting bracket from a supplier that was supposed to have a hole drilled in the middle - it didn't.
So I rang the supplier and explained the situation. The next day I received an empty envelope with a note inside ..."please find missing hole enclosed".
Naturally I replied, thanking them profusely for their quick service, but unfortunately the hole they had sent was the wrong size!
Possibly - was at a Dynamics site rather than an MAA site so more likely something Missile-ey. Certainly hadn't been used in years by the time I was clearing the stuff out but it was stored in "the bunker" which was reputedly proof against a small nuke so little or no dust or moisture.Used for storing the programs to drive some of the test sets for Tornado Avionics boxes. If you're rewinding them after use and don't hit stop before the end, the drive motors go into full speed mode and a retaining clip flies across the lab. I still have a scar, along with the hole in the forehed from classic mini bonnet catches
