There are things that should be considered when looking at springs. You want to a avoid in all cases the spring going to soild or near solid this greatly reduces the life of a spring. They usually give a load/mm so you can work out what the load is when compressed.
Have you tried something like Misumi Europe? They might have something.
Also you can buy lengths of spring say 500mm long that you cut to your specific length requirements.
Timing is ok, the ejectors don't fire until they need to, just didn't fire with any power. I have packed the springs out with some stainless rod and now the pop out quite nicely. It is a gun that will see fairly little use but nice to have things working properly
