Yes,i agree with you there,alot of "safe" things these days arent half as good as the old style ,'green' panel wipe for car painting/bodywork prep for one and also Creosote for example,that stuff was powerful,you could paint it on metal gates after doing your wooden shed and fence and it would stop rust lol,today its rubbish.The paint i talked about there is very good though,Im always dubious of these new things claiming allsorts..but this stuff is very thick,smells like proper quality paint,I had a tin of satin black ,and painted a Toyota Hi-Lux chassis,it was very rusty,i mean,needlescaler and air chisel to chip the rust off,this paint kept that chassis looking great for the next 3 years till it was sold for export.Its in Africa today still rust free i bet lol!
dont know of any website, i buy it from a chandlers and have been using it for years, bottom of my boat is 116 yrs old and very little rust or pitting on it.
it retails for about £80 for 5 ltrs inc reactor.
Any good experience with Galvafroid or Zinga? Just checked Zinga website and there is that Zinga its not paint ?!? So what the hell is Zinga then? When is fully cured is it hard? Do you need do some prep before aplying top coat? Any "real" experience with Zinga? Quite expansive, so hope you get what you paying for and not paying for name on the tin

I used Firwood satin chassis black. http://www.firwood.co.uk/webapp/wcs...1&parent_category_rn=10751&top_category=10751 its available in a few colours. they told me in was developed to leyland trucks specification and Ive been very impressed with it. you can spray roller or bruch it on

the paint chemist at the factory who served me told me that the salt spray test requirements by leyland were 5 years. their paint exceeded 30 years

Have you seen the underside of a leyland truck after 30 months let alone 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!! Basically they are cheap and cheerfull but not at all built well! But then Again maybe it's the paint holding them together!!
