Link to the 6011I only know of one 6011 (NuFive) which was the competitions offering against Fleetweld 5 and 5P and 5P+.......all 6010s
Bohler make the CEL range.........possibly the best
There are lots of 6010s
6011 are the same as 6010s but can be used on AC..............who would want to use them on AC?
Yes a 6010 bead looks like that don't worry about the spatter as 6010s are famous for thatJust tried out some fleetweld 5ps courtesy of "the Flasher" had a go laying beads they went okay... thought id give a butt weld a go. this is what happened , anyone got any ideas for improvements or pictures of what a decent 6010 bead should look like.
Did you not see post #2?This is about what 6010 is supose to look like
NoDid you not see post #2?
What I was trying to say is that despite the claims they dont work on AC. They are uncontrollable and the weld will look awful. This type of product isnt for the amateur (enthusiastic or otherwise). The guys who use these rods can make them sing but because they are so different these guys wont be able to deposit a 7018 (well, only after some practice). The techniques are very different, the 6010 is weaved from the wrist which the 7018 is from the elbow.
How? You posted right after it
people dont switch over to ac unless in their garden shed.a procedure will state the type and polarity of the current.I honestly don't get what your trying to say. I don't use fast freeze rods now and haven't a while as I have no need, 7018 I do but was always taught to keep my elbow in and still whenever this was possible are you telling me I have been doing all wrong now?
I mentioned AC because it can help reduce magnetic interference over DC but obviously the rod needs to be AC capable, starting to wish I never mentioned 7018s now but it was in relation to interference not AC and not as a replacement to 6010 / 6011
In just saying on an inverter you get a smoother arc with a 6011 then with a 6010 everlast have a video about this on ther power arc 140 stpeople dont switch over to ac unless in their garden shed.a procedure will state the type and polarity of the current.
You also flick a cellulose rod,a quick sharp movement.you do that with 7018 you lose gas shielding.slow and steady movements .
Iv never arc welder beforeright so if i ever do use 6010 again , small flicks using the wrist rather than using the entire arm. very much doubt that i will ever have to use 6010 but id like to be able to
This un usual on rtech website there pro arc 135 has 1.5mtr leads in oxford welding supplies they have the same rtech and it has 3mtr leads and it's £13.20 more
I think your mixed up between threads mate. This post belongs in the 14 page thread about an 80 amp sip. This un usual on rtech website there pro arc 135 has 1.5mtr leads in oxford welding supplies they have the same rtech and it has 3mtr leads and it's £13.20 more
