It’s a slippery slope I just thought I’d check mine and I got sucked into spending all the time I had spare today on it. Kind of satisfying knowing it’s setup though.
I spent a while setting mine up when I first got it, it was pretty damn good, certianly within spec despite the wear.
That was what, 3 years ago? It certainly cuts an appreciable taper now because I'd imagine it's settled in a bit and all the vibration has probably shifted it slightly... but now like you say there's always something more important to do and it's not so significant that it's had any impact on what I use it for.
It really goes to show that as nice as a properly set up machine, that's cuts no taper and has no wear is, for 99% of what they get used for its its just not necessary.
