I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Tom Orrow for supplying my Parweld AC/DC welder, which is superb! Fast efficient service with a smile, albeit a interwebspace kinda one.. (:

I had a few NOODLE niggles and Tom got straight on to it and got things sorted..

I've much luv for all of you obviously but I can't praise Tom enough.. for me it's simply great having a guy who you can trust and is there for you should you need him..

The (British version) expression is 'font of knowledge' and the Americans often use 'fount' - I Googled it earlier! It was a genuine mistake in saying 'fountain'!

Sort of, that lists the male and female parts of the plug but not the back cover for the plug (it comes as two halves) or the pins. I cannot find the post either.
I'll look again.

thank you all for your wonderful help.. Parweld are sending the socket with the electrics so i can plug in straight into the electronic board.. Free of charge too..

If the new connector still gives the same issues as the old one and you swap the leads around often enough to worry about it you could always make up a short flying lead to a different connector that works better.
Or just connect both the torch and pedal up at the same time (you might need to add a switch as well)
