Unlike the 'copy & paste brigade' I like to buy a sample of everything first to check them out; if I like they get photographed & put on the website.
No packaging with it, had to destroy that to get inside! a waste of money anyway really.

Bought my first welder today clarke at131 , and im looking for a auto helmet.

As you have decided already on model I think you have made a good choice. One person has mentioned it below a decent mask improves your welding. The area I think is missed is not the large area or electronics etc but the comfort of the head gear. I am guessing it depends on your head size as I know others who have the one I use and they find it ok. I find it uncomfortable after it gets worn. I have used the one you have decided on and although I have not used it since I have seen it still in use and it seems to have worn well.

The key part in my opinions the ability to flip it down and push up without the headband moving. My son welds in a £23 budget mask (only purchased as a spare for visitors/mates to the garage) instead of mine just for that reason. I think my next mask will be that one.

Just one more thing I had an expensive air fed speedglass 9002 and thought it was crap and sold it pretty damn quick....which is why I think my head is a funny shape.

both look like nice helmets, difference in cost is probably just because its made by two different companies and theres gonna be a differnce in the manufacturing cost

Any one noticed these adds creeping in more...if you select lowest price inc post and packing it will show up as £6 but thats for the cap and gloves....wonder if ebay will clamp down on it?? I guess not!

that eagle helmet looks horrible in my opinion but has some nice specs - nice big viewing area, 4 arc sensors and grind mode. decent.

I think it looks stupid but I can't see all that crap while I'm wearing it so don't care.
