I've got one of these - it was great until the control transformer burned out a month or so ago now I'm trying desperately to find out what voltage the thing runs on so I can stick a replacement in there - all the main transformers are still fine and I love the machine, it's glued major parts of my land rover together.

If anyone can help (a service manual would be perfect, I'd happily pay for someone to copy one for me) it would be much appreciated.

Interesting (or not) to note mine has metal sides not GRP as was mentioned earlier in the thread and is called an Autoweld2 (at least that's what the sticker says).

Have not used them for a few years (nearly as long as the posts are old) but they were helpful if you had a transformer with no speck.
They would re engineer your old one.

@classic2cv , do you have a manual or circuit diagram, please?
If not, would you mind posting a photos of the line of 4 relays, as one of mine (the odd one out) is missing?

The first advert looks decidedly early 1960's.
And the second must be early to mid 70's, from Angela's flares and shoes.

I didn't appreciate that CO2 welding went back quite that far...
It's a beast. It weighs at least 100 Kg, as it was a hard two person lift.
It has shades of 'Steam- Punk' present - as semi-conductors may not be involved.

A Euro torch connector has been fitted, once the Butters torch became obsolete.
